You see Lachlan is the founder of daily - an AI voice agent that you can call or even better, it calls you. 

At the moment - it’s your daily accountability assistant. Just there - proactively reminding and discussing with you all the tasks and goals you’ve set yourself.

And honestly. So far I’ve been impressed. 

We spoke about:

- The world of AI agents and the opportunity to solve across industries, both tech and traditional. We particularly explored the endless potential of using AI to support people like plumbers and electricians where the technical need can be basic, but very time consuming. 

- The pace of AI. Something I've questioned and posed several times on here. In other words can companies building with AI outpace the speed at which AI infrastructure and technology is developing. Ultimately, it always comes down to your problem and the customer you are solving for. Take the legal space. Ask most firms how much technology they have adopted and you're barely getting Chat GPT as an answer. Customer-obsessed founders will win every time.

- Identifying your customer. With daily, it's easy to fall into the 'anyone can need accountability' bucket - but it's important to remember that there's a difference between people that 'need' to be accountable vs those that 'want' to be accountable. We used daily in this example, but this goes for all founders. Going narrow and deep with your initial users is key to prioritising your product and defining your go to market.

As we wrapped breakfast up, it turned out Lachlan was also on the way to a PLUGGED co-working day that I was hosting a fundraising workshop at, so we got an extra 30mins of sunshine en route on the bikes!
