Breakfast with founders š„ Today I met with Can Zehebi
We spoke about:
- Using past experience, pain points and problems to create a solution. A problem lived is a problem better solved.
- Building technology in a competitive market of payments, balancing out the paths of least resistance whilst building proprietary technology that is venture-backable.
- Utilising fintech infrastructures to build and ship product quickly - all whilst staying close to your customer and utilising their feedback to ship even faster.
- Focusing your user persona to be able to better serve them. In this case, CanĀ has really focused on underserved segments of the payments market including their unwillingness to transition to digital payments as a result of transaction fees.
- Finding repeatable GTM and distribution channels for what is an industry that heavily relies on number of transactions as opposed to user or software licensing.
- Reaching angel investors. Whilst cold outreach can have it's place, you have to be strategic in reaching your angels. Think of your angels as a map, rather than a list. Use your network and building it as a means to find your first cheques and the subsequent ones too.
If you are or know someone who has a small business riddled with transaction fees, you should check out what ZavoĀ are building. They might help!
