Breakfast with founders đ„ Yesterday I met with đ» Laura Beales
Laura is the co-founder of Tally Workspace - a platform that digitises one of the most expensive operating costs of a company. Their offices.
Tally help find your next best office, but also are there for last minute needs like meeting rooms and co-working spaces!
Tally have saved me on a few occasions going above and beyond so it was only reasonable to meet one of the founders behind it all!
We spoke about:Â
- Dogs! đÂ
- The post-covid 'future of work'. There's no denying that there's been a significant change to the behaviours of businesses, particularly in the startup ecosystem. People are looking for more flexibility, but companies also realise that an office space is no longer a pool table and beer tap.
- The cost of trying to find a new office yourself. Don't do it! đÂ
To rely on behavioural change, you have to build a solid customer experience that takes your customers through the journey.
- Using customer experience to balance revenue and profitability throughout your product vision. Particularly for industries that are becoming tech-driven, shifting straight to tech-only requires a lot of change in user behaviour and customer expectations. To rely on behavioural change, you have to build a solid customer experience that takes your customers through the journey and eventually, becoming more tech-enabled.
- What does an office mean nowadays. There's still a lot more to be defined as a 'new norm' is established, but understanding that culture can be impacted by a physical workspace is important. It's about the aesthetic, the furniture, the companies you might share a building with, but even down to what the paint, tables and chairs might look like!
- Founder responsibilities in comparison to founding teams. What being a founder means in terms of responsibilities, the culture you set, the energy you need to have, the salary you have to take amongst all the rest. No matter how close you were to the founders of a previous company, nothing compares to it!
If you're at all looking to move, then my experience with Tally is definitely one to trust! đÂ
